Roman Lewis Shares New Single “Rose” | Debut EP Coming via Bright Antenna Records

Inspired by classic literature and heartbreak, 17-year old English singer-songwriter Roman Lewis shares his recent single “Rose.”

Lewis gives the 1794 William Blake poem, “A Poison Tree,” a modern continuation in “Rose.” Similarly to how the poem’s narrator writes of nurturing anger with fear and resentment, Lewis writes about wanting to go back to the beginning of a relationship, despite how it is over.

The song showcases Lewis’s vocals and range by starting off with quite and sparse instrumentals, before climbing to it’s peak at the end. Even with his restrained delivery, listeners can vividly feel the emotional progression of “Rose” and resonate with its longing for the past.

“Rose” will appear on Heartbreak, Lewis’s debut EP expected to release in Jan. 2019 via Bright Antenna Records.

Both I suppose Thorns tear my heart apart... Here, a shot in the dark, Tell me if there's still a spark ? Here, a key to my heart, Tell me if you want to start Again, is the word you use To answer me when I say "I love you" But time I can't give you Cos time has no end once said a wise old friend But in the meantime your thorns still tear my heart apart... Here, a shot in the dark, Tell me if there's still a spark Here, a key to my heart, Tell me if u want to start Again?
