Sister duo Larkin Poe released their newest single just before their album, Venom & Faith drops on Nov. 9. In “Honey Honey,” the two build a sinister atmosphere with their bluesy rock sound and moves between this and melodic parts and poetry-filled lyrics.

The parallel and shifting parts of “Honey Honey” was “exciting” for the two to create and play with including in a song. Rebecca Lovell explained how much she and her sister love how “Honey Honey” turned out.

“We were talking to our engineer as we recorded the song and he was blown away by how spare we wanted it to be, just with an upright bass sound,” Lovell said. “We stuck to our guns with that and we stumbled on the idea that made the song stick together.”

The album itself similarly works with the idea of shifting between sounds and infusing other genre elements into their music, while maintaining their elements of rock and blues that define Larkin Poe.

Venom & Faith will be released Nov. 9, 2018 via Tricki-Woo Records, and will be available on Spotify, iTunes/ Apple Music and other digital retailers and streaming services.

After the duo finishes their featured musician’s spot on Keith Urban’s Graffiti U tour, Larkin Poe will also be on a North American tour until December, when they will continue touring the U.S. as support for Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band.
