pronoun Shares New Video For “wrong” | Debut LP Out 2019
In the second single from her forthcoming debut album, the one-woman band pronoun (real name Alyse Vellturo) finds herself at odds with the world around her. Out on Rhyme and Reason Records, the up-tempo song “wrong” navigates the complicated feelings towards an ex.
While the song deals with the complexity of interacting with people from one’s past, the accompanying video for “wrong” follows a different narrative. In the video, pronoun conveys the feelings of loneliness depicted in the song through a basketball game.
“A lot of my demons are in my head, not in reality,” Vellturo shares. “Kind of dark, so I wanted to make light of it with a fun basketball game that outlined that very concept. You’re only as alone as you let yourself be, which is also one of the inspirations for the song ‘wrong.'”
pronoun recently appeared at Riot Fest in Chicago and will be heading on tour in November. The debut album is expected in Spring 2019.
